Barbara Gray, CFA

Veteran Analyst, Structural Disruption

Barbara is a former top-ranked sell-side Equity Analyst and the Founder of Brady Capital Research Inc., a leading-edge investment research firm focused on structural disruption. She is also the author of the books “Secrets of the Amazon” and “Ubernomics: How to Create Economic Abundance and Rise above the Competition”. Barbara ranked as an All-Star Analyst for four consecutive years, achieving top-three standing each year in the Business Trust Sector in the Brendan Wood annual institutional survey. She has over fifteen years of sell-side equity research experience in both Canada and the US. Her prior research experience has included broad sectoral coverage such as the North American consumer discretionary and consumer staples, North American auto and Canadian industrial products, energy, and forest products sectors. Barbara has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of British Columbia (1993) and earned her CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation in 1997.

Norm Kumar, CFA

Veteran Analyst, Technology & Healthcare

Norm has over 20 years of investment experience in both private and public equity. Presently, he is a Senior Healthcare & Technology Analyst for the Pennock Idea Hub. At PIH, he provides independent research to Institutional clients on topics within the healthcare and technology spheres covering individual stocks as well as writing about emerging technologies such as AI and a soon to be released report on CRISPR. We not only generate our own ideas but produce bespoke research for clients to assist them in analyzing situations of interest. Norm also works with the White Owl family office to assist them in assessing potential private equity investments within the healthcare field, particularly drug and device companies. Prior to PIH, Norm served as a Sr Investment Consultant to XPV Water Partners where he assisted them in deal analysis and execution for their existing portfolio and new investments. Earlier in his career, he was a Portfolio Manager and CIO at two hedge funds, Radiant & K2, with primary responsibility for the healthcare and technology investments. Additionally, he was a senior investment professional at two prominent Canadian Venture Capital/Private Equity funds (CIBC Capital Partners and Working Ventures Canadian Fund) where he had responsibility for direct investments. He has served on numerous Boards over the years. Norm tries to bring the discipline of private equity analysis to public market investment assessments to assist clients to make meaningful risk-reward decisions.

Cam Hui, CFA

Veteran Analyst, Quantitative & Strategy

Cam is a seasoned investment professional with a specialization in investment strategy and technical analysis. In addition, his experience on the II-ranked BoAML US Technical Analysis team has led him to develop short-term trading models and techniques to reverse engineer the hedge fund exposures. His investment blog, The Humble Student of the Markets and has been quoted in the FT, WSJ, CNBC, BNN and highlighted by the Globe and Mail. Cam earned a B.Sc from The University of British Columbia.

John Tumazos, CFA


(JTVIR LLC), Founded in 2007, is registered as an investment advisor in the State of NJ. We have institutional clients in the U.S. and Canada. We do fundamental research on commodities markets and common stocks in the metals, fertilizer and forest products sectors. We typically travel for research each month often travelling abroad. We are regulated like a money manager. Our business is to advise active money managers and we also manage a few accounts. We are not a broker-dealer, but deliver the same basic research services that we have since 1981. We sell our research for direct payments and deliver it via email and web site. Our clients pay us hard dollars through commission sharing agreements or soft dollars. We limit distribution, we guard our reputation, existing relationships and “word of mouth.” referrals. We have provided corporate advisory services to seven small emerging mining companies since inception.
